This drawing uses a variety of interesting techniques, it's was just an experiment really, but it came out pretty cool. I was given a simple Turner line drawing of a castle ruin, and decided to add some of the magic it evoked using different techniques.

Turner created some truly amazing drawings and paintings of castles, which truly capture the magnificence of castles, and how they dominate a landscape. Well this is my junky expression of something I have always been fascinated with.

I transfered a photocopy using cellulose thinners, onto some marbled card. I made the card by floating thinned oil paint on top of water then laying the paper down on top. I then used pencils, pastels, and watercolour pencils to add some strange texture and colours.
