Emerald Hopper

The elusive Emerald hopper is actually quite a common magical creature, although it's very difficult to see in the wild. Many a magical creature-spotter thinks they have seen one, but have usually only seen a leaf blowing or a frog jumping.

These creatures are incredibly fast moving, bouncing around on their little legs, bumping off trees and often landing on their heads. The best way to see one is to set up a camera in your garden, and to stay very still and listen out for a popping noise. Then, quickly take as many pictures as you can. If you're lucky you'll see a green streak on your photo's, which will either be an Emerald Hopper, or some snot on the lens!
