I've been experimenting with creating cool black and white textured images, which look great and especially suited to the aesthetics of steampunk. They appear old, antiquated, unusual and slightly sinister which I love. Steampunk for me is at it's best when it's a bit edgy, dark and mysterious.

All these images were originally hand drawn in pencil, then inked using simple pen and ink. I drew my inspiration from avious old photographs, designs and other sources. I then scanned the drawings and, as you can see, did a bit of photoshop trickery on a couple of them. The pen and ink makes them look print-like in keeping with the steampunk aesthetic.
